How to Break a Bloggers Heart!

  It isn’t what you think!

My wonderful facebook fans and some odd 15,000 twitter fans know how heart broken I am these days. One would think the way to break a bloggers heart is by telling them horrible things, calling them names, or calling them out on something they are wrong about. Certainly that isn’t fun but I have seen how other bloggers just brush it off. As some say, negative attention is still attention! -shiver- I don’t personally like that saying or maybe what it really means.

For me, my heart was broken when my laptop was killed. It wasn’t just any laptop. It was the only one I have ever had that could keep up with all I do! I normally have about 40 tabs open, often 2 browsers, various software, and amazing photo editing software. Not to mention gaming! Since the demise of my beloved laptop I have been borrowing my 8 year old sons laptop while he uses the desk top. Neither of us are happy! His machine is so slow and doesn’t even have the photo editing software on it. No point in adding it as I know this machine can not handle it. This machine hates all the windows I have open! So as those who follow me know, I have been using instagram a great deal as it gives decent photos as I can’t edit them myself right now. Oh the pain!

This is an instagram photo of me blogging this very post:

See some of the tabs at the top of the photo? Old habits die hard for this Crunchy Mommy.

I have a feeling I am going to drive everyone on my personal facebook page and my instagram followers crazy with how many photos I am sharing. I am thinking of it as instagram therapy helping me deal with the loss!

So if you want to break the heart of a blogger, break her laptop! Of course I am not recommending this and my laptop was not broken on purpose. I am reminded so well that you are what you do and I am a Mommy, Wife, and Blogger!

Reviews and Giveaways are some what delayed while I get back up and running!

I feel your pain, having experienced multiple less profound episodes like yours. These days I use lots of devices depending on my location: Mac, many differnt PCs, Android phone. Makes my head spin sometimes keeping up with all these very different OSs, but it works for me.

    Another thought:
This is a GREAT excuse for a new machine! Can be a happy happy day, potentially.

In any case, good luck and my condolences for your loss –
    Greg

Thank you for the support Greg! The computer in question was less than a year old and top of the line. I honestly couldn’t see spending all that money on another one so grand again! -sigh- I fear I have been spoiled by it and anything less makes me grumpy but so does the idea of spending that much again.

As it is, it is going to cost them price of a new small computer just to get data off the hard drive as it turns out. -bang head on keys-
