I have to say that today was a success for my husband and I. We slept in, didn’t get out to stores till 2pm, and still found many sales in the stores we went to. A few things were long sold out but must of them the retail clerks told me sold out yesterday and goodness knows I will not shop on Thanksgiving unless it is online as it is a family day.
Our children wanted to come out with us to shop but that was not to be, as Santa wouldn’t be able to get the needed things with little eyes there. It was specially great being a product reviewer when shopping as I got to help other parents pick great gifts as I know so much about what is new this year, like Skylanders Trap Force! It was disappointing not finding any BOGO free on skylanders figures this year. Last year was great for those!
Online was a lot of win as well for things like Furby Boom and the new Crystal line! These are some of the kids favorite toys so if you can find them for sale I would pick them up for kids ages 4 – 12.
Of course the day wouldn’t be complete without starbucks. A rare but very needed treat. My Fibromyalgia had me sitting in stores and even leaving wonder hubby to finish shopping. I was very drained, but happy with all the savings. I can’t write much about other purchases as I have children and family that sometimes read my blog!
Even with all the shopping I managed to use a deal on minted.com and make some very personalized and beautiful holiday cards that will be mailed out soon as I get them. I also ordered some of their photo wrapping paper as it is just so adorable!
