Autumn Blog Challenge – Day 14

September 14 – When has being right been wrong?

When being right is more important than a relationship!

I love to research and like most people I love to be right. However there are things one can not argue and it can be hard sometimes for me to remember that. Some people also can’t follow logic or have things blocking them for one reason or another and can’t get past it to see the facts. I am sure I have issues like that too!

This little crunchy parent is agnostic and I am blessed with friends who let me in their eyes “be wrong” and still love me and as I am not friends with the wrong kind of people they do not push and I try to honor what they believe. Sometimes though having religion pushed at me causes me to let off steam so I end up posting something very logical and sometimes very supportive of the Atheist stance. Thankfully they don’t take it personally.  I love it when they wish me Happy Holidays and I can wish them a Merry Christmas, as we don’t care about being right at that point. It is about people, support,  and love.

I teach my children that being tolerant and supportive of others and their ideas and beliefs can be more important than being right. I think this is true for many attachment parents.

Great post! I deal with a lot of drama some days because some people just dont seem able to “agree to disagree”

  2. I like your post! Being right isn’t always important. Supporting each other in our differences is much better 🙂

  3. Love this post! Sometimes you definitely just have to agree to disagree and keep going or life will pass you by.
