#365Grateful Day 7 – Paper snow flakes with little ones!

Day007_Crafts_Kids_Snowflakes

Even though we are packing up the house I think it is still important to put up art and crafts the kids make and keep them being creative during this time of transition. I am so grateful for little ones who are creative and fun to be with. Even Daddy got in on snipping snowflakes. It is very easy to just fold up coffee filters and see what the kids come up with for shapes and patterns. For anyone wanting more structure there are patterns that can be printed and followed online if you search for them. I thought I might try that but then thought it might be nice just to wing it and see what the kids make. I love what they came up with!

#365Grateful Day 8 — My Nikon

I am not a photographer and I never intend to be one as a profession. I do though love capturing moments and I really want to get better at doing so. This is my Nikon D5200 with the kit lens on it. I have found it challenging learning about how to use this camera and lens. I hope to take some great advice from friends who know more about cameras than I do and get a 50mm lens to learn with. I have heard it is a lot easier and one of the best “first” lenses one can choose. Lets hope it helps me catch some beautiful moments! You don’t need a fancy camera for the #365Grateful project and you don’t need to start just on the 1st of the year even. You can start today with what ever camera you have. Many are using cell phone cameras and coming up with stunning photos that really capture what they are grateful for and tell wonderful stories! Be sure to tag your photos on instagram with #365Grateful and join the fun!
