#365Grateful Project for 2014 – Day 1 and 2

   What is the #365Grateful Project?

This was a challenge photographer Hailey Bartholomew from Australia gave herself a few years ago. What if every single day for a year she took a photo of something she was grateful for. She had found a spark of inspiration and she ran with it and she discovered so much more than she expected to. Since then many have set out on a path to be grateful for things and to have a record of some sort of their year. All those small moments added up! So here I am, starting my own path and I thought I might share some of it on my blog with whomever might come across it. Be grateful for the little things is the reminder to myself and my wish for you!

#365Grateful laughing dancing children! — My 14 year old, 6 year old, and 3 year old, all playing a dancing game on the xbox 360. It didn’t matter that the game was just for 2 players, and it didn’t matter what the scores ranked as. They just laughed and danced and had a wonderful time together. It was so much fun to watch and their laughter was better than any of the music. I know it isn’t a stunning photo but it is one I know will always bring me feelings of Gratitude when I see it. I have a feeling this year will be filled with bad photos and wonderful children. Maybe I will find some gratitude even for my poor photography skills!

Day 2

#365Grateful — The stunning beauty of nature when snow falls. — It is not very common that snow falls where we live and to my dismay the place we are moving to never gets blessed by snow. I love snow, it makes the world seem clean again, smell clean again. It’s sparking brilliance never fails to fill me with wonder and gratitude.

What ever your goals are for this new year, I wish you well!
