While the Occupy movement in NYC got evicted today and the court not supporting our constitutional right to do so there is little news or out rage over the abuse on our children. Consumerism is not the back bone of this country, it is the virus that is killing us.
Consumerism is why someone thought it was ok to make and sell crotchless underwear for 7 year olds. It is an illness when we can not protest in the ways we wish, that don’t harm people, and yet we can set up our young girls to be robbed of their childhoods. I just do not understand.
Do the courts think that our founding fathers wanted to protect the peoples right to protest with just sings? Is that how they did it? They wanted people to be able to fix their government and they understood it might take drastic measures. They made it so the military could not be used against the people but who needs the military when you have police willing to do the unthinkable to non-violent protesters.
I am scared for the future of my country. I am scared for my children growing up in a world that doesn’t want to give people a voice and space but is happy to market sex to 7 year olds.
