Ways to recycle Holiday Cards!

I love holiday cards and we received many this year.
Like years past, when the holidays are over, I am left with the dilemma of what to do with them all.
As one of the goals this year is to organize and minimize keeping them all isn’t helpful.
There are things to do with them though, such as making the photo cards into a coffee table book to be stored with the holiday items and added to each year.
The other option we choose to do was make gift labels out of the cards, a way of recycling them before they go into the recycling bin.
This was easy to do with my Kindergartner. Just cut out shapes, punch holes, and string! Place in the holiday box ready to go for next year!

What do you do with your holiday cards?

I found these great ideas here: http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2011/12/recycling-christmas-cards.html

  1. We will cut ours up too, The children have made Christmas cards for next year with the things they cut out. I usually cut some festive colored card stock down to size and they cut and paste.

I would think first before deciding to recycle those holiday cards. It means so much to me but I know I need to recycle it. It6’s just like magazines, plastics or other materials that we need to recycle and put some creativity on it.
