Fantastic STEM toy for children 3-6 years old!
I got this toy thinking I would be gifting it to my 6 year old Nephew who has a passion for all things with wheels. However when my 6 year old daughter told me that her imaginary friend Keelee needed a gift for her imaginary birthday party I thought this might just work, as I know Keelee is very creative and loves to build things. Of course I had a conversation with myself about indulging imaginary friends to this extent before offering this gift but what it came down to was knowing my kids would really like this toy and adding to the fun. I have other great ideas of gifts for my nephew and he can play with this toy when next he visits us! STEM toys are for everyone, toys for girls don’t need to be pink! It is 2016 and I am still saying this? Of course you know this already!
In the box you get:
- 7 snap together race car pieces
- 15 bolts
- Motorized Drill with Drill Bit.
- Stickers
- Directions!
This toy is simple enough for 3 year olds and engaging and fun enough for older kids as well. The drill works on 3AAA batteries not included so make sure you have those on hand. You can put this together without the drill, but of course the drill makes it all the more fun and the bolts get tighter that way I think as well.
It took the kids only a short time to put this together, a bit longer to get the stickers on right. I suggest adult help for the decal stickers as fixing them if they are not places right is not easy, as with any toy really.
