A Toy You Should Get – Perplexus

A while ago my family was gifted a Perplexus Original to play with and review.  As we already know the company behind this toy for its quality in making other toys we love we jumped on it. Given the chance to pick which Perplexus to try I thought maybe the hardest one would be best, I have smart children after all. The wonderful representative for the company though knowing we had not yet tried one of these puzzle balls recommended we start with the original as it can be hard.  How hard could a ball puzzle be though I wondered? Not that hard, after all she doesn’t know my brilliant children!

WEEKS later none of us had yet mastered this toy, and not from lack of trying. We would all cheer each other on as we shared what number in the puzzle we got the tiny silver ball to before having it fall to our doom, and the next player’s turn. Friends who came to play tried it and loved it from children to adults. We have spent a lot of time with this toy and finally I can say a few of us have gotten to finish it!

Now of course all of the other Perplexus balls are on wish lists for the holidays and so I must also put it on the LittleCrunchy.com 2012 Gift Guide! This toy will be highlighted around the holidays with a few choice others along with some great giveaways to help you fill your holiday gift list! It can be hard finding that perfect gift, let this blog help! I will be joining other bloggers to help bring readers some great options, be sure to check back!

Opinions from the littles:

13 Year old daughter says she loves this toy, that it is addicting and she wants to try them all. She found it best to skip to step 2 and then go back and learn step 1. Her favorite spot is the bucket in the very middle, it always feels like a win!

6 Year old son says that this toy is as fun as the video games he loves. He wishes he didn’t have to share with his sister as sometimes his turn is very short as he makes mistakes often. When the ball drops, it is the next persons turn. He wants one all to himself!

4 Year old Daughter says she loves balls and really loves this one. She says it is very hard but very fun and that she will not give up trying to win. As her mommy I have to say that I love how this is helping her with her higher number recognition!

2 Year old daughter doesn’t yet say much but loves this ball. She is still too little to understand it but finds it very interesting.

34 Year old Adult Friend says she WILL beat this toy at some point!

We absolutely LOVE our Perplexus. I can’t beat it. I’ve given up. The kids STILL try though. My daughter’s best friend drives herself crazy trying to figure it out. LOL
I love that you gave each child’s thoughts. I wish I had thought of that. I love how it appeals to each child (and big kid too) in a different way.

OH wow…what a fun way to challenge ourselves. I think I might have to get one.
