The Perfect Gift Requires A Personal Touch — XedOut Creations

It is said that one can’t buy love and to this I can attest. One however can show how much they care by the thought they put into a gift and the personal touch they add. Finding the perfect gifts are not as hard as one might think.

Anyone can go to a big box store or the mall and pick out a gift that a million other people might have. It is easy and chances are that the mass produced gift will have the common mass produced life span and will in the not too distance future end up in the land fill. And so the cycle goes, year after year each Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas generic gifts come into our lives and leave with little thought. We need to do better, we need to make our gifting special. One of the best ways to do this is to look to the artisans  The ones who put heart and soul into quality items. The gifts that make us really think about the person we are gifting to and that will let the ones we care about know that they are not just generic people to us. With this in mind, let me introduce XedOut Creations.

The owner and artist behind this company is a friend, one I owe a great deal to actually. He has a great heart and as it turns out a great eye as well for what matters. He has an amazing family with a special needs son so this should come as no surprise. Before I had seen his shop though, I didn’t know that he had creative talent like this. It might be because he could be the poster boy for the military as he is a great looking man that is now retired army and when thinking of him, I didn’t think of him in that light. I am glad he is sharing his talent with the world. He was kind enough to send me one of his creations, a beautiful hand crafted pen with loving meaning behind it. This pen is a stunning rose gold breast cancer awareness pen with swarovski crystal accents. Take a look:

This piece is so elegant and lovely and a gift that would be remembered. It is a reminder that one really does not need an occasion to gift to those we love either. Life is too short, specially for those facing breast cancer.

While I know most of my friends and family already try to shop from small personal businesses, or local ones, I thought you might all specially like to know about this one. This shop makes items perfect for both Mother’s Day and Fathers Day coming up but also gifts for the book lover like me in your life. The written word is so powerful and lasting and too few people these days understand the importance of hand written letters. There is a reason signed books make us swoon, sure the books all have the typed names of the authors but to get one personally signed…. it means so much more.

I think most of us have a favorite pen. It might not be specially made like these, it might be one we accidently took home from the bank even. Chances are though it will not last forever and it isn’t all that special. With pens like these, one keeps them safe and if ever they do not work this shop will fix them for you! Dexter stands by his work! Check out his shop and let me know what you think!
