The Kittens Are Here!

To understand how we got into this adorable mess, check out the Grief Kitty post from a few weeks ago! Goodness knows this was not the plan and that Mama kitty will be getting spayed soon! For now, she is a busy mama caring for her 5 little kittens!

And here 2 of them are, a day old!

Many more photos to come, I promise!

Happy Birthday little ones! My Grief Kitty gave us kittens a year and a week after my Dad died. We didn’t plan on kittens, at all, but yet, here they are, making us smile, and of course worry, but remember there is a cycle of life and it isn’t all tears, or at least not all sad tears.

I look forward to seeing what joy all these little strips and spots bring the world!

These kittens are American Shorhair Tabby Cats. Tabby is the most common pattern in the world, and even in wild cats! Tabby cats have numerous color variations. The tabbies can be colored in red, black, chocolate, blue, cream and many more. THESE kittens look to be blacks and blue colored tabby cats! With a Mommy that was a farm kitten and a Dad who has to be one heck of a ninja TOM cat, these kittens I am guessing will be very connected to their instincts and very loving and great with kids because of the 5 kids that will be helping to raise them!

In other News:

Our little forest creature braved the room that scares her alone to sleep with the kitty and kittens! Watching the kitten cam (one of our home security cameras we moved to spy on the new fur ball family) it is clear she talks to animals way more than people! Oh my heart I love how sweet she is! The cat is so happy to have her person there!
