Askaversary
What is an askaversary? It is the word my husband uses when talking about the day he asked me to marry him. Feb 9th, oh so long ago it seems. I was 18 and neither of us knew anything about anything beyond that we wanted to do it all together. So against every ones wishes we got married, and didn’t tell anyone till after! Our wedding day was wild, intense, and so emotional because we got married in the morning and husband was on his way to boot camp that afternoon. I admit, I was a wreck. So for us, the day he asked me to marry him is just one of joy and a memory we both love. So we celebrate our askaversary unlike many others.
Sweetest Husband Ever
This year, while sick with the flu and trying to pack the house up and barely able to think my husband managed to surprise me with a facebook post on my wall that made me smile and made me cry at the same time. Talented he is! I thought I would share it here. :

It’s that time of year again when I must renew the spell I cast upon you 16 years ago. I still don’t know why it works, but here’s to hoping the enchantment lasts for another forever. Every best thing about my life starts and ends with you, your smile, your eyes, your heart, your love. This year we are moving for the nineteen bazillionth time and there’s no room for a pony in the truck. So I got you some flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and a little snow.
