SMALLFOOT – A Movie that helps kids think critically, laugh, and feel deeply!

 Our SMALLFOOT Movie Review!

We all know the myth of Bigfoot but can you picture a world where the Yeti think we, smallfoots, are they myth? In this animated movie for all ages one happy Yeti has his whole life flipped upside down when he stumbles on a Smallfoot!

 SMALLFOOT in theaters NOW!

This is a movie all kids should watch and parent too! The music is original and fantastic! Some of the songs caught me off guard but they were perfect and do different from so many animated movies! They are not like some others where you know your kids will love them and you will never get them out of your head, they are great but not annoying! You have to hear it though to understand my point. The music though is just one of the reasons to take your kids to see the movie SMALLFOOT!

This movie is hysterical! Parts of it are just as you would imagine, picture big creature discovering tiny creature and it loves it! Like a toddler and tiny bunny….. one must be very careful! There is humor for kids AND adults it is done fantastically!

The funny parts of this movie are though not the best part, not the most important parts in my opinion….

Take your kids to see this movie for the conversations you will have later with your kids! Why? Because there are some deep topics that are so important and relevant today. There is a lot social and emotional intelligence in this story! You and your children are going to FEEL a lot.

  •  So what kinds of questions might your kids bring up?
  •  Is lying ok? If so, when?
  •  Just because many people believe something is true, doesn’t mean it is…. what kinds of things are not true or might not be true that many people believe now?
  •  What kinds of things have people believed in the past that aren’t true?
  •  Do lies sometimes protect people?
  •  Is ignorance bliss? It seemed so in the movie!
  •  What kinds of things to people believe to make their lives better even though those things might not be true?
  •   Would you have kept the lies going?

If you know me personally then you know I am very much against lying. Even with the best of intentions I am always upset about lies. My favorite saying is “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off!” and I find it to be true. I don’t think anyone is ok with lying really, so I do not think I am specially, but lying always gets more consequences in our house hold than most everything else. However…. this movie made me think and feel. It made our kids question me and question their beliefs about lying. It was amazing the awesome conversations this movie sparked for us.

Watch the movie, come back and tell me how you felt then THE SONG comes up. It pulls you in, and suddenly I wanted to protect everything too! Oh how I loved that song and it normally isn’t my style but it is so well done and so compelling. I can’t say what song, but I trust you will know it when you experience it. Go see this movie!

I love SMALLFOOT, and my husband did too, and our 12 year old son loved it and our 10 year old daughter as well. We got to see this movie before it officially hit theaters so we could share our review with our readers!

It is incredibly well done and the ending is everything you need it to be! This movie has something in it for everyone! It is worth seeing in the theater! In the comfy seats even!

We loved this movie so much that I jumped on Amazon and purchased a few SMALLFOOT books and plan on getting the toys for the kids for Christmas!

If you are a parent that believes it is important to teach your children about logic and reason, if you are a secular parent, I think you will specially love this movie too!

What is something that you once believed but don’t anymore?
