A new school year brings new life into our black felt board. We have a very large felt board and it has not seen much action since we moved here last winter. Thanks to another brilliant mother (Crystal!) I was inspired to pull it out and get back to using it. Here are the first creations for it and my 5 year old adores his hedgehogs. I thought of them because being the keeper of exotic pets (Sugar Gliders) we shop at some interesting places for them and often those places have hedgehogs all tiny and adorable. While we do not plan to ever have them as pets we do think they are very neat.
Felt boards can be used for all sorts of things from pretend play to letter and number learning, calendars, seasonal boards, games like tic, tac, toe, and even a dart board with some nerf guns! (Will show you this fun another day!)
