Review: Take-Out

Take-Out by Marina Games

One Player or more.
Educational math dice game!

Game night was met with a new game for us to play. Take-Out comes in a small box, easy to store. It includes 10 red dice, and 2 white, with a shake cup, and simple directions in English. The directions where easy to read and follow with no confusion for myself or my husband, our 12 year old or 6 year old. While the box says 8 and up, I would say that younger children who can count and no longer put things in their mouths to play with would have a great time with this. Our 4 year old enjoyed helping her Daddy.

Educationaly for the older players it was just fast simple math. A bit of strategy and a lot of luck. For the youngers it was counting and addition problem solving with more than two numbers and the blank sides add a challenge as well.

My favorite thing about this game was that I found everyone cheering one another on, no one wished ill luck on any other player unlike what I have seen in games of clue and monopoly. It was a joy to play and it will be a part of our game night closet from now on.

TIP: Use a shallow box, baking pan, or serving tray like we did to help keep dice from rolling off the table!

It can be found for $7.99 at many retail stores and online.

Wishing you many happy family gaming nights!

P.S. Just another reminder, keep away from toddlers and babies who just seem to love trying to eat dice!
