Review: Mouthguard Challenge Game

mouthguardchallengegame2016

I have seen games like this before and this one takes it to a new level. It isn’t just words you say, and it is actually challenging but most importantly it is hysterical. If you want something over the top and not just a board game night, this is it. You can play up to 5 players with the 5 mouth pieces. The challenges are on cards and they range from things you say, and other guess, to going outside to find someone to HUG! It is a loud, silly, game that is a bit messy too. Some of the cards require you to have certain things on hand, like a banana but all the items are standard in most homes. I mean who doesn’t have bananas or peanut butter? Of course you could change the challenge if you don’t or just skip the cards. I couldn’t find our candles so we just skip that one. It doesn’t take long to play but having things on hand helps a lot. Having to scramble to go find an item for the challenge distracts a bit I think. Once you know all the cards though, you know where all the things you need are and it goes smoothly! Not the directions are a bit confusing because there are no white boarder cards as it says, and there are purple bordered cards not in the instructions. So much to giggle about! This game is for 16 and up, just so you know. Most of my Kids will really want to play too! The mouth pieces though are not designed for kids.

Here are a few of the challenged you can expect from this game:

Things you will want to have on hand:

Bananas

Apples

Peanut Butter

Paper

Pens

Candles (and lighter)

TP Paper

Cups

Cell Phone (with timer and also because one of the cards challenges you to call someone and talk to them!)

The game doesn’t take all that long to play, it can be as short at 15 minutes, depending on how prepared you are, how many players you have, and how much time is spent laughing and turning red from embarrassment!

I think Mouthguard Challenge is a great gift for anyone who loves silly fun and loves challenges!

Tip: Just stick the mouth pieces in the dishwasher when you are done and you are good to go!

I’ve heard about this game. Mixed reviews (depending on age and attention span) but all said it was hilarious trying to understand people talking.

I love watching the videos on facebook about this game but I am so self-conscious about my teeth that I couldn’t do it.

Same with us, thus no personal photos of us playing. I begged my loved ones but no one would let me do it and I just couldn’t do it with my red chubby cheeks either. LOL
