We found a fantastic and fun art project to go along with an adorable book and just had to try it ourselves!
Supplies Needed:
Paint
Paint Brushes
Sparkle Paper
Star Paper Punch
Scissors
Paper
Popsicle Sticks
Glue
Camera
Photo Paper and Printer
Storm Baby is now 8 years old!
Directions:
Have children paint a night sky. We did this one day and let them dry over night and pressed them under books that morning.
That same day take photos of the kids reaching for a high object, print the photos and cut them out, this part tends to be hard for little kids.
The second day we had the kids cut out their moons on sparkle paper and use a star paper punch to punch out stars for their page. Then ask them to glue a ladder on their art page.
Glue their photo to the ladder reaching for their moon.
Have them glue their stars down.
Let Dry and then you are done!
It is beautiful and everyone loves it!
Smilie Baby is 5 years old and adores reading.
Hope Pixie is 16 years old and her style includes fun hats these days and red hair!
Mr. Handsome is 10 now and into all things video games and loves science and space.
This is a new homeschooler we invited over for this art project!
I am far from an artist but pinterest and other sites makes finding art for kids so easy. I have heard many parents say they would homeschool but they have no art talent or no second language. These things can be learned together or the kids can take classes outside the home to cover these areas. Art is one of our favorite subjects and keeps homeschooling fun and learning hands on.
Have Fun!
