Odysseo is an extraordinary show like no other!

If you ever get the chance to see Odysseo, take it!

Over 60 horses preforming like I have never seen. This event is remarkable in it’s reverence for horses and for the stage. It is art come alive with music and visuals that are extraordinary. I never expected it, never dared even dream such a thing till it was right there before me.

My husband was sweet enough to get us tickets for one of our daughters birthdays. He also got a ticket for a friend for her birthday to. Together him and I and our soon to be 6 year old daughter and out friend went to the show. We had great seats in a bottom row in the center though really, truly, there doesn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house! We had gotten there a little early and with the seats came the VIP tent with nice food to munch on and a gift shop. We ate a bit, I had some win, and our daughter picked out a big white Pony she just had to have. We got a program that is a book with beautiful photos and facts about the show that I hope to keep always.

For the safety of the horses and actors there is no photography allowed so I don’t have personal photos of it to show you. As you can see though, in the second half of the show they flood the stage some how and the horses run through it and preform. The book talks about how the horses are not asked to do what they do not want to and you can tell they mean it as often there would be a large group of horses on the stage without any kind of halter and without a human near by. A few times it was clear a few of the horses had ideas of their own and they where very playful. No one seemed to mind or scold them. It was beautiful to see. More often than not with little human direction the horses preformed what can only be trained “lines” for them. It was stunning to watch. Other times in the show the horses had riders, sometimes with saddles and sometimes not. They looked well loved.

The performers where just as amazing as the horses though with dance and gymnastics and things I don’t even have words to describe! They often had the audience clapping with them and it was very engaging. Perfect for our little girl. I had worried when I first heard about the show that maybe she would not be able to sit still. See did though and she clapped and cheered like I had never seen before, she was in love with the show and I teared up watching her pure joy. It was worth every penny. I only wish we had taken two of our other children, while shows are still too hard for our 3 year old to sit through, this would have been loved by our 7 and 14 year olds. If ever the show is near us again, we will take them I swear it.

  Happy Birthday My Storm Baby

And thank you so much Cavalia for something we will never forget!
