Some women are goddesses in the Kitchen, I though am not one of them! You might have spotted me in the past barefoot and pregnant in a kitchen but chances are I was just in there making soaps or candles or something else I am can make a mess with. The fact of the matter is that I don’t must like to cook though my husband says I am good at it. It takes a lot to inspire me in the kitchen so I am always on the look out for things that might help me in this area.
Thankfully my husband is a great cook and my teenage daughter is becoming one as well. She on the other hand loves being in the kitchen and cooking! I like getting things for her in the kitchen too!
This past Fathers Day I got my husband a new set of silverware as we never have enough. Genware silverware is nice and the price is great. We need another set of 12 spoons at least. With a house hold of 6 and often entertaining more children and company we need to keep the kitchen stocked! Crosbys has a good selection at a reasonable price and I like that you can buy just pieces not don’t have to buy whole sets.
So while I am not a kitchen wife, photos like these make me want to be!
I was watching Gordon Ramsey on TV, a UK show and he has a mission to get women back in the kitchen. I don’t think it has anything to do with thinking women more than men belong in the kitchen but more a comment on how when women are in the kitchen we can all be eating better. He went to one ladies house and she did not even have her own pots and pans!
That will never be me! While I do not like cooking, others in my home do, and as I said, I want to love it. I just need help! I need to be inspired! I like the Porcelite from this site too, it is elegant and makes me want to add color to the white with beautiful foods. I know it soft to touch, I can picture feeling it actually. I think I have more attraction to the dinnerware than I do the food on it in this case! I know, I sound hopeless right?
Don’t give up on me though! Someday I just might be one of those kitchen wives, till then I am going to keep trying to find inspiration to play in the kitchen!
