Minted.com has a lovely little area on it’s site called EYE CANDY and it lives up to the expectation I had when I first saw it. There are boards to inspire, to remind, to enchant. I specially loved the Calk Love Story above, mostly because of the use of pages for anyone who knows me know of my love of books. While I do not read much romance, even the best sci-fi and historical fiction books have great love stories in them.
It is nice to wonder through the boards, clicking the little heart to like certain ones, and pinning others to pinterest to share with the world. The designs are beautiful in the shop as well and the writer in me loves it all!
The shop has many things from class room Valentines to thank you cards, announcements of all kinds, and art prints as well. I have a special fondness for stationary and really like the purple blossom tree one above. I do not write things by hand as much as I used to but when I do, I always reach for stationary that I love. I think sadly most of us do not write things out by hand anymore and it is rather a shame. There is beauty in such a personal touch and the ones you write to know you care when you send personally written letters and cards.
Remember Valentines Day is about showing love and care, personally. Some of the oldest Valentines where hand written and date back to the middle ages. A love letter lasts so much longer than flowers!
