There are lots of skydiving centers up and down the country that hold regular events. You just need to sign up and find plenty of sponsors before the event. Alternatively, you could see if your charity of choice has their own skydiving event planned anytime soon. Want to take part in a thrilling event but would prefer to keep your feet planted firmly on the ground? Well, you could take part in a race instead. Lots of people sign up for half-marathons and marathons in aid of charities each year. Some of the biggest ones in the racing calendar include the Boston Marathon, London Marathon, and Berlin Marathon. As you can see from that list, you don’t have to stick to one in your own country – lots of people travel far and ride to take part in iconic races for charities. If you can’t find one that suits you, you could always arrange your own charity hike with some of your friends. Of course, doing good things for charity isn’t just about trying to raise as much money for them as you can (although that does really help them)! If you don’t think you will be able to raise enough cash on your own, you might want to do something other than try to club together some donations. One option you have is to organize a blood drive. There are lots of charities that try to get people to donate blood so that there is plenty of blood reserves for those who need to undergo blood transfusions for medical reasons. Why not organize a blood drive in aid of these charities. For this you just need to get some of your friends and relatives together and donate blood all together. Doing it as a group will be great motivation for those who have always wanted to give blood but were too nervous to do so. Another great way to raise some money is to shave your head in aid of charity. Lots of people do this if a friend or a relative is diagnosed with cancer and loses their hair during chemotherapy. You might want to let the local newspaper know about your plan to shave your head so that you can drum up some more publicity about the event. You might then get a spread in the paper and will be able to try and get even more donations.
