I learned to cut bangs! It is rather simple too.
1. Gather child into other parents arms.
2. Comb down hair that is past her nose…. (never been cut before!)
3. Tuck behind her ears all hair from outer eyebrow to ear.
4. Gather hair to the middle and twist 4 times.
5. Cut at eye brow level. You can always cut more, but you can’t make it grow faster!
Then you comb out and see if it is perfect. For me it was a bit long so I redid it and snipped a little higher. Twisting it will give a good feathery look and leave the outer bangs just a bit longer to shape the face. We all love it and I have to say I am rather shocked it came out so well.
We let it grow because our little people have slow growing hair till about this age. We loved putting her hair up and using bows but she has been complaining of her eyes hurting this week so it needed to be done. I am glad we did it. Now to figure out what to do about Mr Hansoms curly wonderful hair… ideas? Should we just shave it for the summer?
