Homeowners Insurance – Worth Getting the Best

While fires rage in Colorado sending more than 35,000 people from their homes and leaving nothing but ash and tears behind I have to wonder how many have good Homeowners Insurance. While no amount of money can replace a home and the memories in them I ponder how my own family would recover, I wonder how others will recover. The fact is not everyone has insurance to cover this. If they had seen this coming I have to think they would have tried to find the best insurance possible. Maybe this is a warning to the rest of us to make sure we get the best should the worst befall us.

While a tropical storm blow through Florida this past week with many hardly even hearing about it I follow the photos online and wonder just how a tropic storm could cause such damage. In and early and thought to me low estimation over 1.5 million in home damages have been reported. Water damage is just as bad for a home as fire and yet few have flood insurance. How will those people recover?
Meanwhile closer to home, too close, there have been break ins all over the military post I live on. Homes broken into, cars, yards. The things stolen range for the most part but a theme sticks out, costly pocket books like those made by Coach. Reported from women heart broken have been items like engagement rings kept in them and family air-looms passed down. Thousands of dollars gone in a blink of an eye. How will those women recover? They post about their journey reporting to the police and then with insurance companies waiting to know if any money will help make it ok. Insurance can not make it all better, but it could help I think.
In the end I believe it is worth getting the very best Insurance you can for your situation. Try using a comparison tool like the one at http://www.comparethemarket.com/home-insurance/.
As for me, I will be double checking the insurance we have and making sure we would be covered in the above situations, just in case. The last thing I would want to wonder about in that situation would be if we where covered or not.
