Joey #2, the little girl River, is now on her way home with her new family. It will be an adventure for her to be sure! While she is spirited and clung to her parents more than her brother, she has only ever nipped me once and I think it was because I smelled like food. I have trimmed her nails a few times even and not gotten bitten. However her new mommy got bitten 3 times while here! Though I think it might be because she was holding tight to the little one and this made the little one want to get away more rather than less. I think her new family and mine have different parenting styles. I worry a bit though…. the cage was from pocket pets and the handling care looked like the pocket pets “squish” tactic…. Having talked with the new Mommy I do trust the fluffy will be in good care, but… different.
Little Rain went to a young family yesterday and he took very well to them, they had a soft hand like my family though added to the fact that Rain was born the more peaceful little guy of the two Joeys. I have no doubt his new family is a great fit.
My children will miss both Joeys. Before the new family came today my oldest built a fort for River to play in, they had a nice time with her. She never bit them…. but again, soft hands and she knows us.
