Homeschool End of Year Homeschool assessment form report card

We are sharing this form, a generic free printable to help homeschool families and educators with their Homeschool end of year evaluations. As a homeschool family these past 12 years we know there are so many reasons why parents school to homeschool and we love to help however we can. We hope this form will be of use to other homeschool parents who want a simple Homeschool End of Year Form.

It is important to know that each state has their own laws that dictate what an educator must record. You need to make sure you are using forms that meet those standards. We created this form with the state of Georgia in mind as it was one of the first states our homeschool family ever homeschooled in. Your state laws might also make this form a good fit for your needs. This is a great form regardless of if your not using it in required records. Please be sure to check your local laws.

Importance of the End of Year Homeschool Forms

In the state of Georgia homeschool parents are required by law, Ga. Code Ann. 20-2-690(c) to keep records on three things.

Students annual attendance record.

Students annual assessment report for required Subjects.

Test results from standardized testing. (done every 3 years starting in 3rd grade)

You also in Georgia need to keep them for three years. In the years we homeschooled in Georgia no one ever checked our records and while it can seem daunting to keep records, don’t let perfection get in your way of actually getting them done. It helps to have a system you love. Some years my records have been digital, and other times all hand written. At the end of the year I find it really helpful to use my detailed records to fill out the easy needed legal forms at the end of the year.

Our oldest daughter is soon to graduates high school soon! It is hard to contain the excitement! I remember how overwhelming paperwork used to feel, now it seems like I stressed too much for little reason. You can find forms online to help homeschooling requirements be less stressful! Your online local homeschool groups are such a fantastic resource! Don’t worry, most homeschool Moms have points when they freak out, yet we push through! The great thing is that you can share your freak-out with others and chances are others are going through the same things and others are keeping calm and can help get you through it!

Finding homeschool forms online helps relieve stress!

Homeschoolers love going above and beyond and we have seen and created some amazing records. Long ago the best advice I received, regardless of state, about forms was to keep the public ones simple. That is why we made this form. It is a simple and easy Homeschool End of Year Assessment, progress report, that you print out, fill out, and file.

This is our form that we have changed over the years and shared in groups and tweaked. While we move often and have lived in many states, this is the simple form we do even when not needed. If you would like the editable file please send me a message and I will send it your way. Otherwise we have found that parents just print it then fill it out the way it is.

Enjoy the Homeschool End Of Year time, as it is another step on this special journey.

I have to admit, the time has flown by getting our oldest daughter from kinder – senior. There has been a lot of paperwork in all these years. I always specially love the end of the year though looking back on what has worked for us, and what has not. This form has all the basic necessary subjects and of course the important information to track too. The important stuff for our little ones happens to be what they like and their learning styles. We feel like making sure the kids get to learn the things they want is vital to their education. Plus, they learn so much faster when it is their idea to learn something! The kids had so much fun learning what it would take to have back yard ducks to actually hatching them and raising them and taking care of them. The kids have planned field trips based around their interesting and found ways to really be leaders in their own education.

Recording Social Skills on the Homeschool End Of Year Form

A special spot on the Homeschool end of year form is the social one. So many people doubt the social skills of homeschoolers and we know that is just silly. This special spot is one where you can record their strengths and ways they are improving. Our one shy son is now a leader among peers and the peace keeper as well. One of our daughters makes friends with everyone so very quickly and is very bold. Another one of our daughter is more shy but very committed to fairness and will stand up to bullies on behalf of others. We hope you find this spot on the form a great spot to high light this are too many worry about.

If you share this form also link back to this post to give credit to it.

We didn’t add copyright text to the image as I know that isn’t something us homeschoolers tend to love. A lot of people copyright their printables and that does help us remember what sites we should go back to for more resources. Hopefully you all will still remember us without it printed on the form. In conclusion, many have liked this form and we are happy to share our experience and help however we can.

Thank you for providing this form! I wanted to make the creator aware that it seems to have an error in the grading column. I believe “D” is suppose to be an “A”. If this is corrected would you please let me know and I will download the corrected version. Thank you!
