Free Printable – Easy Reader – Sharks

It is that fantastic exciting time of the year, Shark Week! My family loves Shark Week so here is a freebie for our beloved readers who love Sharks too. This is a 7 page printable, with 12 reading pages inside. It is fact filled and interesting for both young minds and adult ones too!

Free Mommy and Me Easy Reader Book

What makes this Free Easy Reader special are the Mommy & Me reading pages. On the left is an easy page for a young reader perhaps in Pre-School, Kindergarten, or 1st Grade with easy sight words. On the right page there are more advanced words and facts for either Mommy, a teacher, caregiver, or more advanced student to read. Sharing reading time is always a joy and I know that in my family we often pick books to read together and sometimes it can be a challenge for the newer readers to keep up. Sometimes it can be too simple for older readers to really enjoy. This Easy Reader aims to help both early readers and be interesting to older readers at the same time.

 Simple, Easy to Read, Text.

This book has a basic font young readers are used to seeing. It is simple for them to read and less complicated than other fancier fonts.

  Not a scary Shark Book!

This easy reader children’s book was designed with the understanding that not all children like scary things and that sharks can be a scary topic. The facts in the book are not scary and should not trigger children who have a sensitivity. I wanted this to be an Easy Reader that all kids could learn something from.

Putting together your Easy Reader Booklet:

After you download your free Easy Reader Shark book you will need to print out the 7 pages and then fold and staple together.

First, fold the title page so the title is on the front and there is nothing on the inside like so:

Then fold all the other pages one at a time so their images are all on the inside.

Stack the pages together and place inside the cover of the book like this.

Staple down the side of the outside of the book to secure all the pages together.

Yes, there will be blank sides in the book, these don’t tend to bother kids as much as they do adults. This is a great chance to let your kids make their own pages if they wish!

My kids loved this little book and it got a lot of wear on it already! I suggest printing with a 24lb weight paper, this was only 20 and I can tell it will not last too long.
