I dedicate this post to Bobbie, a blogging mentor, and all my other blogging friends and readers who want to strangle me for my writing errors. I am so thankful to have people who understand that is not simply laziness on my part that cause them. I do have learning disabilities in part due to vaccine damage. I was not supposed to be able to spell beyond a second grade level and clearly I have managed to prove the experts in the school system I grew up in wrong. I am far from perfect though. Often when I re-read my own words, I see what I thought I typed rather than the error. I try not to be hard on myself, I try to remind myself that as long as the point I was trying to make comes across that all else will be forgiven.
I also try to remind myself that other publishing plat forms, specially books, have editors. There are many famous people who sucked at spelling and or grammar, from Ben Franklin, JKF, Hemingway, Einstein, and many others. I know I am not alone. This doesn’t however mean I can give up. I am glad for those who try and hold the bar high. I am also thankful for when they help me rather than judge me. I am a blogger and I have no team of editors to help correct my work. I do however have 4 children pulling me in many different directions and who are my little priorities. So please, if you take the time away from your priorities to judge my spelling and grammar, please instead use that time to send me a note on what I should correct. It would be a kindness and I think much more worthy of your time.
Thank you Bobbie for being my editor when ever you have time! 🙂
