I love Blogging
As I laid reading in bed on my laptop I had to smile as I closed my eyes to take in the moment, I love blogging. I love bloggers. The moment peaceful and perfect in the candle light and quiet of my home. I smiled as a tear fell. I was reading this blog post about a woman who had been homeless as a teen and how a random act of kindness changed her for the better and reading about how thankful she was then for it, and for it now still. I could explain it more but I fear I can do the post no justice so you should go read it for yourself:
Stephen Covey Lived What He Preached
When I happened upon the blog internally I got that nails on a chalk board feeling. The writing felt all squished up to the right and for some reason I just didn’t like it. The first few sentences in though and I knew I couldn’t NOT read it. I might not love the look of the blog at the moment but I am in love with the writing style and I told the author as much when I posted a comment to her.
She impresses me with her love of life, of the little things, of the blessings given her. I really admire that. I know I will keep reading her blog now and I am betting more times I will be taken by this feeling of love for bloggers, for my own blog here, and for readers.
I am reminded tonight of a saying that hung in the bathroom of my grandfathers house when I was growing up. Kind words cost nothing, they make us rich if we use them.
I think this applies so well to the story of Stephen Covey and the writer he inspired on that blog.
