Leaks Happen but Life Doesn’t Have To Stop!

Did you know there are more people in their 20’s than in their 80’s that have bladder leakage? As a mom soon to give birth for the 7th time this doesn’t shock me. There are so many reasons for bladder leakage and one of them that isn’t uncommon is women who have given birth. It isn’t uncommon to see some poor soul mentioning she doesn’t dare workout in public for fear she might leak and someone will notice. DEPEND though has a solution that is comfortable and that we can trust. Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs are made for us, with a lower rise+ for an underwear-like look, fit and feel. They come in all our sizes too in both black and beige.

(TIP: If you want to keep them close to the toilet but not have the box out just put the Depend underwear in another container like this butterfly floral one.)

Pregnancy and Leaks

I cough, I leak. I sneeze, I leak. I move faster than a snail, and I leak. You get the idea. One would think this condition would go away after child birth but it can often linger and leaking shouldn’t limit life. One of the tips going around my due date group is making sure one has Depend on hand and ready for those leaks. Not just the leaks though but for when our water breaks in labor and specially after birth. We can Depend on this brand and the Active Fit style to keep from making a mess and protect ourselves from embarrassment.

Depend is part of my post birth prep kit right next to the breast pads for a different kind of leak issue!

These are the Depend Silhouette Active Fit in black. They look better on me actually. They fit wonderfully and don’t feel bulky at all. I really don’t think anyone knows I am wearing them.

But why should we be embarrassed?

Show your support for women with bladder leakage! For every photo and video shared on twitter using #Underwareness and featuring Depend products, the Depend brand will donate $1, up to $3 million, through 2016 to fund charities that advance the research and education of bladder leakage.

Pregnancy is definitely showing me lately that I need leak protection! I have some cloth pads for now but disposable things like this may be handy to have for trips (planning on going to Chicago for 3 days next weekend) or “just in case” for the glove box or bottom of your purse!

These are really wonderful and it’s great the stigma is breaking. If we’re honest, all women could use these occasionally, like on long car trips or flights. It’s best just to break the stigma now. These are practical. No one should hesitate to try them.
