Like most Crunchy parents and parents who follow attachment parenting I find that I reach for natural remedies before others. The biggest reason for this these days is simply my experience. Years and years of research and seeking out the best for my babies. Few doctors are trained or education on anything natural, they are educated on pharmaceuticals that are man made with chemicals and patented. One can not patent “natural” in our country, so it seems no one in big pharma puts any money into it sadly. That however is a topic I babbled about a few days ago.
Tonight I am up and thrilled because my hellish headache is gone. I must confess, while we had been out this afternoon a headache hit me and the only thing in the van at the time was Tylenol my husband keeps in there. I took two, and 4 hours later, it was all the worse. My temples where making it near impossible to function and I was worried my Mommy patience would soon vanish.
Got home, put a drop of doTERRA peppermint essential oil on each temple and rubbed a drop on the back on my neck. The sensation was instant, it feels a bit like an ice cube on the skin, it tingles and wakes you up. The smell of course is divine and I think that helped bring me back to myself as well, within 10 minutes though, the pain had faded, and by 20 the headache was nothing but a memory to blog about joyfully. This is why I love doTERRA and tell everyone I know about it. I buy these oils every month to help myself and my family and home. Worth every penny.
