Rugs are nice to walk on, nice for baby to scrawl on, and I think they might even help keep the house warmer. However…. they are a pain in the butt when it comes to keeping clean when you have 4 children, a very old dog, a cat, and a military guy with military messes.
For more than a year now I have been freakishly focused on keeping things clean. I really believe that that a well lived in home is a happy one but well lived in can turn quickly into a yucky disaster if Mom gets sick. Thats not something I can risk! So I focus on things being clean.
The rugs are a problem. Specially the one in the dinning room. (The person who carpeted that room must not have young children!) We do not yet have a steam cleaner but we borrow one from time to time. I think though it might be high time soon to hire a company to get it all done quick. Have you done this before?

So now I know three things. 1. I really want to hire a company. 2. It would be this one if it was local and 3. I want the furniture done now as well!
