Do one brave thing…

I found myself aggravated again today with a local military pet list I am on. In short, family is moving to Canada and they are not taking their 6 year old pug. They paid 1,200.00 for her so of course are trying to sell her for $600.

Really? So I jumped in publicly and posted about the over all topic of selling animals with owners who fail to take care of them. I consider it my one brave thing for the day as these people could well figure out there I live and some of them are flat out NUTS. LOL

So my post was this:

This is not going to make me any friends I am afraid but I am not sure I would want such friends who have an issue with my question/opinion on this anyway. What makes people feel like they can SELL a grown animal? Pets are not cars, they do not lose half their value after they are grown. They are animals we commit to take care of for life. And yet some who fail to keep that promise to the animal choose to sell it like a…. lamp? TV? Fridge? I just do not understand. We pay for puppies, so that we can bond with them, have a full life with them, give them the best care, and train them well. You can’t count on those things from an older dog and in my opinion certainly not from someone who broke that commitment to the pet.

So this is me wondering why people are trying to SELL grown animals like they are objects rather than pets that where failed by their owners. Yes, I just said that and I am not sorry. We are here because we love pets, this is me advocating for them.
