So we tried making string ornaments a few days ago and it failed. We changed a few supplies and went at it, again. This is what we started with:
Simple enough right?
A balloon.
String
1 part white glue, 2 parts water.
Lots of mess.
Hang to dry.
Right?
So me and my 6 year old son have done this twice now. We are both sick of getting sticky believe it or not and really sick of failing. I think we might try just one last time… DH thinks it is funny mind you, I think I am going to let him try it and see if it he gets it on the first try. LOL Wish us luck!
I know of quite a few people who’ve failed at this particular project. I think it must be a lot trickier than those tutorials let on!
I know how you feel. I have been working on those glass ornaments where you swirl paint inside. Of course, my won’t dry. Everytime I think they are done, I cap them off and put them on the tree only for a big blank spot to show up a couple of days later. Of course, my daughter’s from Michael’s worked!
