The Joy of Love 08: gift from the heart
This photo is rather odd in that without an explanation no one would know why this fits. This is the inside of my new van! New to me anyway!
My husband gave me an amazing gift, empowerment. We needed to get a new van and my husband left it all up to me, he helped me come up with how much I could spend from out accounts and then let me do it. I choose to not get into debt so our cash was not going to a down payment, it was going to pay for the whole thing. This of course meant something used. I could live with that. After reading and listening to Dave Ramsey, getting out of debt 100% is important to us. I did the research, I asked around, and looked and looked and finally found what I wanted. We drove 2 hours to a dealership, I went in, took it for a test drive, and said yes. All with my husband watching our children. I called him in to sign some papers, and called my bank to allow the debit amount that was way over the normal limit they have on debit cards and I paid. And I drove away. Me. LOL It was so odd and wonderful.
So this photo is me sitting in that van, with the seat warmer on, alone and very very happy. No car debt. It feels wonderful! No debt is a gift to the heart. We are so close to being fully debt free, so so close and I will not add to it and I am glad we didn’t with this van!
