Sometimes homeschooling is sitting at the kitchen table, however is not always with a text books, often it is hands on and something the kids find oh so fun and interesting. Hope Pixie, our oldest who is 11 loved building with this set and learning how things go together, how they can run on solar energy, and how such energy is interchangeable with common energy from batteries and electrical outlets.
Add this to her trip to the Boston science museum and all they did with alternative energy and I think we have both learned a great deal and helped to cover our technology unit for the year! Now of course we are both itching to apply this knowledge to our home but alas, we live in military housing and they would not allow solarpanels. Someday!
