Day 161 – Dont Go the Fluck to Sleep

I am not sure if you can make her out, but this is my youngest. She is often up past midnight and often happy about it. Some nights are trying for me. I try and be peaceful and remind myself that I am not just a parent during day light hours and that night time parenting is important too.

When I read “Go the F to sleep” I didn’t find it funny. I found it sad and I was angry that I might be up one late night and think cuss words because that book put that thought in my head and it was not there before. Yes annoyed but to the point of swearing about… that is just not me. Some parents like how “real” it is, this however just makes me feel badly for them as that is not my reality. We have a choice about what we think and feel to some extent. We have to choose not to think that way. I wonder how many parents though will read it that had not thought those things before and will suddenly have to battle those words in their minds. How many sheeply will follow down that paved path now where it is acceptable to think such things about your baby? -shrug-

I read a response that I like much better, though I still don’t like the title. I promise it not as vulgar though!
