Day 158

Often I here “But I can’t homeschool!” and while you know yourself best of course, my next question is often “Can you play?” if you can, then you might well be able to homeschool.

I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn. – Albert Einstein

All you need to do is to set them up to succeed, don’t teach at them, learn with them. In the above photo my husband is on hands and knees on a wooden play structure playing with our children. He sees the baby is heading for the stairs and will help explore them. It was wonderful and peaceful to watch. They had a wonderful time and it helped to enforce their understanding that we as parents will be there for them, with the, to help them do what they want to do, discover what they want to discover. Learning can be a lot of fun and not just when your little. Learning advanced concepts can be fun. Find a way to play!
