This is what the room looks like now!
It meets the requirements of being easy to sleep in, relaxing, and easy to make dark in the day time if needed. The curtains up in dark purple with shimmer next to the gray is some how sexy and fits the need for romance. It does though look smaller.
The size has been an issue, in this old house we had to sign a waver with military housing saying we would not even try to get a queen mattress upstairs. It is not possible to do so. Now the kids are upstairs and we are down stairs in the small room. Dark was however more important than it looking even smaller. However we did not actually intend for it to be this dark!
It is clearly not done, it needs photos up, I am thinking black and whites in silver frames.
With the curtains pulled and the light off it is wonderfully dark and peaceful. I wonder how I will feel about it in a week. I wonder if my thoughts on this house will change a bit because I get to look at less tan now!
