Day 120

Tea Party

Not the political kind, though Mr. Handsome was putting up with his sister so that he could play with the sugar!

This tea set has been fun, though it is not as solid as we had hoped it would be. While washing it some pieces have gotten shattered just putting them into the sink. The spoons have come loose from the shafts, and the basket has no way to keep the pieces secure and safe as the plastic holder inside does not last and is meant to be thrown away. We thought we would get a real tea set, avoid the possible toxic issues of plastic, however next tea set, and there will be a next might well be a researched safe plastic! Any recommendations?

We make real tea for the children, not something common in America. Green tea is what we often make and then give the kids real cream and sugar and let them have tea as they wish. There are always messes but they are getting better. We hope this week open doors to more teas for them, special teas that can help them sleep on hard nights, teas to help with colds, and teas to just enjoy the taste and comfort from. They pretend play as well with tea but I really like making tea as real as possible for them to open this door into the world of tea.
