One of the things we have so very much enjoyed this spring has been watching the Decorah Eagles.
We and others had nicknamed the oldest “trouble” and goodness did he get into it. One day when just tiny he crabbed his dads eye and Dad flug his head in a pain reaction and the little thing went flying across the nest! Thankfully Mom came after a bit and got the eaglet back into the inner nest.
The whole nest is 6″ feet wide and 6″ feet DEEP. It is amazing. It inspired the above desert. It was very yummy! (though only the kids wanted to touch the peeps, the adults stayed clear of those! LOL)
These Eagles where on the computers near 24 hours a day for weeks! It has been a great education watching them. The moderators on both this site and the facebook pages where overbearing it seemed and not about open chat and so if you go to chat take it with a bit of salt and maybe PM some of the nicer members if you have questions as many of them have been watching for a long time and patient with questions!
