Baby Eats What

One of the first foods we feed our little ones in this house is Avacados. They have great fats in them and are easy on babies tummy. Not to mention they have near 20 vitamins and minerals. Why not baby cereal? Some think that baby cereal is empty calories. I prefer though to give my babies something fresh and as close to whole as possible and not packed with sweetness that baby already gets from breast milk.
As time goes on though I like other parents ask myself what and how much baby should be eating.
Earths Best brand was kind enough to point me in this direction:
How Much Should Babies Eat? Stage-By-Stage Advice On Introducing Solids (By Sara Dumond, MD)
I really like that at the end of this article that Dr Sara Dumond states that children under 2 should not be on low fat diets. I think this is true for even older children though. I am no expert however. For me personally, low fat diets have lead to unhealthy times. My body deals better with fat than carbs. Maybe it is because humans where omnivores and modern farming, grains, is rather new in the life of this species. In other words, we did not evolve eating grains but rather meats and fats, berries and nuts, fruits and veggies and roots.
