While the winner of this giveaway will not receive it in time for Valentines Day it is still a treasure that is sure to be loved. It will be customized and I think perfect for the women in your life, or maybe a gift to your own heart if you win it. It is beautiful and sweet and perfect for the casual look or going out on the town. As a military wife I have a special affinity for lockets and keeping special photos in them. Maybe every woman does though and it has nothing to do with my heart feeling like it is so often on the other side of the world in some sort of danger or another. As a mother, it is said that we make the choice to give birth and have forever pieces of our hearts out walking around in the world. Being a mother really is a lot of worry and when the kids are not home, little feeling of security. My oldest is only 13 and yet I tend to count down minutes till she gets home some days. She is a piece of my heart and I love her dearly. She is smart, and kind, and fun and very beautiful. While she wants to be some kind of goth style all her own, I don’t think she knows how much she instantly lights up any room she is in. I have a locket with her photo in it, and I love it. As she grows older, and when she leaves the nest, I think I will need another one with a more current photo of her. Something small to bring me some small comfort and a reminder that she is never really that far from me. As she has part of my heart, I too have a part of hers.
