   What is Baby Fever?

Baby fever is a need that seems to be so primal and so encompassing that people feel sick with want over having a baby.  It is often irrational and hits people who know need down that they don’t want any more babies! (or babies ever for some!)  Sadly it also hits those who have no children of their own yet, or can’t for some reason. I am sad to say that this post is not a cure for those who suffer fertility issues. It is though a cure for those who have full families and want help with getting over the adorable babies and baby stuff that seems to surround them!

I am lucky to have so many Mama friends and thus so many tiny babies. Just seeing their sweet photos can make me almost smell the intoxicating newborn scent! Then I shake my head and try to get back to the rest of the day. Thankfully I don’t have baby fever, if I did, I wouldn’t be able to think about much of anything but babies and it would be torture. I know, I have had baby fever before!

    The Cure

When one of my beloved friends posted the following I knew I had to make sure not to forget it. Some day, baby fever might hit me again and we are done! So I think I might need this, so of course it goes on the blog!

Friends posted: Baby had the messiest diaper change ever this evening. My couch, coffee table and books on the coffee table have been sanitized. My clothes and her clothes are changed. The carpet just got a quick scrub since she was pretty upset by that point and wanting to nurse. I had made myself a cup of some frothy mocha something or other in the kuerig to tide me over until I could eat and only had a sip… It was in the line of fire so it’s getting dumped. Sweet son brought me a bottle of water instead. Yay for sealed containers and sanitizing wipes.

There you have it! If you still have baby fever let me know and I will try to find something else to help!

Not a cure for me. I miss those days. My boys now make bigger messes.
