Recommendations!

About Me:   I am a Army wife and Homeschooling mother of 4 children, I am also the surrogate mother to 2 little girls I adore. I have a passion for learning, reading, writing, *Though not always well LOL* Helping others and being creative, along with of course my #1 priority, parenting. Blogging is a love I have, it is one of the first things I do each day and one of the last when I close my eyes. My passions fit so well with it and this little blog is growing so fast because of it. I have worked hand in hand with some great brands like SodaStream and Original Sprout to bring my readers reviews and giveaways. While reviews and giveaways are loved, I think what is really valued is the Mothering perspective that I like to share here. The good, and the bad, and the ugly. It is real because your real and because too often mothers complain that some blogs make them feel like they are not good enough. I have news for you, they don’t show the “real” days. I do though because I want you to know that your good enough. You might have bad moments, we all do, but the fact that you care enough to even read about parenting means so very much. Your trying and that is what makes you a great parent.

I am like you, special of course. I have my bad days, my fantastic days, and the moments when I think I could burst with how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family. They do the cutest things! I am a parent that is a little crunchy. I don’t do everything in the above questions, I do a lot though, I admit. It is not however a race, it is not about who does more, it is about what you do and why you do it, and supporting those informed choices. Being a crunchy parent can get a bit lonely. I know too well because as a military family we move around so so often and it means trying to find new friends each and every time. Not being a mainstream parent can be very hard. Online friends help so much though and they help give me those inspired brave moments to just get out there and find those other parents who want support, and not to make judgements.

So is crunchy like an allusion to granola eaters?

We answered yes to quite a few. Thanks for the comment!

  3. Ms POSH

I had a natural birth mostly because my doctor was at a swim meet at the time. I did breast feed both kids.

Stopping by from UBP to say hello.
    Have a great weekend!

I think some people think I am a ‘crunchy mom’. I feel just like a normal mom, but I know I fit a lot of the crunchy criteria.

Your blog looks great and I hope to pop by again soon to read more. 🙂

    Happy UBP12!

I answered yes to almost all of those questions. I didn’t do anything with my placentas though. I found you through the UBP 12 and you now have a new follower. I would love it if you would check out my blog as well, though since it’s about cloth diapering, teething necklaces, breastfeeding, etc you probably won’t learn anything new!
