I was rather shocked that after a month of going gluten free to find I have gained a handful of pounds. I thought I was doing well. I was wrong. Thinking on how it could have happened I came to the conclusion that it had to be that I increased my sugars some how and that I now need to address this too.
In an effort to do that, I joined others in the 21 day Sugar Detox. I am on day 3 and goodness and I am suffering. My head is killing me more often than now and I am now gracing gluten when I have not been for weeks. I guess it being the season of Valentines and all the chocolate advertisements, I should not be shocked that I am craving chocolate this badly.
I can deal with the cravings though, I just want to be able to think clearly again and not have a pounding headache near every moment of the day! Lets hope this gets better!
Wishing you luck on your own New Year Resolutions!
Losing weight on a GF diet is actually a myth. Your body is processing nutrients it once could not to help you heal. Gluten Free foods are very starchy so they are higher in carbs. I would love to hear more about the sugar detox though!
